"CITY OF THE LIVING DEAD" REVIEW

In the small New England town of Dunwich, a priest commits suicide by hanging himself in the church cemetery which, according to a book of prophecy's written 4,000 years ago referred to as "The Book Of Enoch", results in the Seven gates of hell opening, Unleashing the dead to reek havoc on the poor town (which was once the site of the Salem witch burnings). Peter, a New York City reporter, teams up with a young psychic, named Mary, to travel to the town where they team up with another couple, psychiatrist Jerry and patient Sandra, will they find a way to close the gates before All Saints Day? Or will the dead all over the world rise up and kill the living?! Another amazing movie from the Godfather of Gore, of course you know that I am referring to the master himself, Lucio Fulci. This movie is just beautiful, one of my favorite movies, it's unbelievably moody and atmospheric. Intense scenes of eerie zombies and a rather brutal scene that involves a drill and you can imagine what else to expect. Fabio Frizzi does an absolutely amazing job here with the soundtrack, it adds to much to the overall feel of the movie. I know plenty of people that will try to steer your clear of this movie, but that is simply because they don't know shit about how to fully get involved with a movie of this standard, they'd rather watch shit that doesn't demand your attention, a lazy horror movie fan. This movie has been and will remain to be a classic by a classic Italian master of Horror. FULCI LIVES!
